woops this is bad. And i haven’t been that busy. Ok so i will try and reconstruct events from my memory.
Today: Wednesday-November 8, 2006
Got up and went and did an interview with a journo called Qasim who wants to make a doco about Palestine solidarity activism in Auckland, called auckland intifada.
Also today: i finished off the letter to the G20 on Palestine. sorted some stuff for my workshop at the g20 and applied for press accreditation at the Make poverty history concert.
I also registered SJP for a direct action day on M20 and added the call to action to our blog.
Posted a number of articles on indy including:
GPJA newsletter, stop g20 forum on localisation, tamil bulletin, clean start update,
also opened overdraft and went loking at digital cameras.
also hasseled cam for an indy feature on the tamil struggle, emailed legal details for protest on saturday, emailed donna about film project, and replied about an anti-rugby stadium campaign.
Yesterday. Tuesday 7 November
Well i had an exam in the morning. but i also sorted a bank account, wrote an indy feature on the attacks on gaz and had scones with matt d.
Monday 6 November
went to the GPJA forum – heard maire speak on papua an western sahara, Thomas friend speak on their campaign, this guy from the tamil community speak on that, minto on Parasites of Poverty, Penny on wpg campaign against the mega city, also wrote an indy feature on the climate change protests and i also wrote two just focus articles-which you can read here and here
Sunday 5 November
wrote out and sent out a invitation to the forum on globalisation.
Saturday 4 November
got up and went to climaction. had to take table plus sign up sheets for radical youth. afterwards i went to work. some temping at the devonport yacht club.
Friday 3 November
we did a Oaxaca solidarity protest at 12:30pm ut before i did that i went to support a clean start picket outside the Hyatt hotel. also that night went to a punk rock show. it was ok. quite loud so gave me ringing ears. updated urs feature about workers in auckland. i also helped disperse leaflets for climaction.
